Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio punched her ticket back to the quadrennial meet in March this year.
After bagging the silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics, the 32-year-old slugger is going back to the Games, where she aims to make the most of her possible last hurrah.
She and fellow Olympic runner-up Carlo Paalam were tapped to be the flag bearers of the Philippines in the Paris meet.
While she is not promising a gold medal this time around, Petecio, who will compete in the 57 kilogram women’s division, asked supporters and fans alike — “Abangan ninyo ako sa bawat laban.”
Watch Petecio slug her way to the Olympic gold on July 30, at around 7 p.m. (Manila time).
