Half-day work in UP on Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines - University of the Philippines President Alfredo Pascual has issued a memorandum declaring half day work on Wednesday in all campuses in consideration of the Lenten Season.

The memorandum – issued on April 11 and released late Monday on the university’s website – said only vital units, including the Philippine General Hospital, will observe regular work schedule.

Other units not covered by the half-day work schedule include the health service units, security and police, private automated branch exchange and garbage collection.

“University officials and staff in these units however are urged to schedule their tasks with flexibility and understanding,” said Pascual.
