Globe telecom joins Sinulog celebration

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama leads the ceremonial opening of the Globe Neon Carnival at the Cebu I.T. Park in celebration of this year’s Sinulog Festival. Attended by over 31,000 locals and tourists, the Globe Neon Carnival featured the Globe Mobility Store-on-the-Go, a one-stop shop showcasing the telco’s line-up of offers. The Globe Mobility Store-on-the-Go also allowed customers to inquire and apply for postpaid and broadband plans. Locals and tourists also enjoyed food carts and drink stations, interactive game booths, exciting prizes, and entertainment acts from local and international DJs. One of the highlights of the four-day event was the popular ‘Kaloka-like’ contest, where participants showcased their looks and talents to be the ‘best Cebu impersonator,’ as adjudged by Kaloka-like winners Nicki Minaj, Marian Rivera, and Sam Pinto. Joining Rama are Globe executives led by Globe head for retail transformation and management Joe Caliro.
