Chikka powers travel promotion campaign

MANILA, Philippines - Chikka, the pioneer in Web and mobile utilities integration, continues to expand its services as it provides support for the mobile component of Smart Telecommunication’s Smart Travel More! Live more campaign. 

Since bagging the prize for “Hear Me” iOS app as the Best Mobile Open Graph service at the recent Facebook Hackathon in Singapore, Chikka has been aggressively developing applications and solutions for both Web and mobile, this time partnering with Smart and the Department of Tourism (DOT) in promoting the fun activity of traveling among its subscribers.

The contest allows Smart subscribers to send through MMS or SMS, photo entries of beautiful images they captured during their trips as well as fun slogans that echo DOT’s “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign.

The promo also lets users subscribe to helpful travel tips through SMS.

The promo runs until June 30 with over P1 million worth of cash prizes and instant load at stake for lucky winners.

Chikka, founded in 1999, created the world’s first instant messenger for online chat to integrate mobile features via SMS.

The company later on evolved to develop apps for iPhones, Android, Google Chrome, and Facebook, and other telco-grade platforms.
