From dual-SIM to dual-core, Cherry Mobile bares new Android devices

MANILA, Philippines - Cherry Mobile is set to once again ignite the interest of the local handset community as it unveils its newest line-up of powerful yet affordable Android smartphones and tablets.

With these latest additions, the company lives up to its promise of delivering products that offer high-end features at extremely competitive prices.

Following its release of Orbit, the first 3G dual-SIM Android phone in the country, Cherry Mobile further strengthens its true dual-SIM capabilities in its smartphone collection.

With true dual-SIM capabilities, it offers enhanced smart social experience while enjoying inter-network connectivity.

Cherry Mobile levels up to dual-core as it serves up Magnum 2X, powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 Cortex A9 dual-core processor, each running at 1GHz.

With Android 2.2 Froyo upgradeable to Gingerbread, users get to have a solid smartphone experience: seamless multitasking between applications, accelerated Web browsing and refined gameplay interface.

Magnum 2X flaunts a 3.8-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen and retails for P15,899. It also sports a dual camera with a 5MP main camera as well as portable hotspot, Wi-Fi and GPS features.

On the tablet front, Cherry Mobile now makes tablets available for all as it launches two devices for the techie Pinoy: Cherry Pad and Cherry Pad Turbo. Cherry Pad runs on an 800MHz processor and Android 2.2 Froyo platform. It retails for only P3,899.

Meanwhile, Cherry Pad Turbo is equipped with a 1.2GHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Watch high-quality multimedia with its HDMI port or take snapshots with its 2MP camera. Go Turbo for P6,899.

Both tablets have seven-inch full touch screens, Wi-Fi connectivity, 4GB internal storage, and expandable microSD card of up to 32GB.

Last but not least, Cherry Mobile takes multimedia, gaming, browsing and multitasking experience to a whole new level with its first dual-core tablet, Supreme.

It comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, upgradeable to a higher version. Supreme is built with an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, running at a speed of 1GHz. With a 10.1-inch capacitive screen display and HDMI output, it’s really a supreme offer at P16,899.
