MANILA, Philippines - New buyers of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro can look forward to the new SPB Mobile Shell user interface which will come preloaded on the phones in selected markets in the Asia-Pacific region starting this month.
This new customizable user interface, optimized for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro, combines the power of Symbian with a best-in-class, touch-oriented user interface to provide a faster and more unique experience to users. This marks the first highly customizable user interface solution SPB Software has brought to Symbian.
“The new software solution will give our Vivaz and Vivaz pro users the opportunity to customize their handsets according to their needs in order to make the devices truly their own,” said Peter Ang, Sony Ericsson vice president for marketing in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Users will continue to benefit from the Symbian platform, personalizing their entertainment experience by accessing great third-party applications online through the Symbian developer community,” Ang added.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro are part of Sony Ericsson’s family of entertaining smartphones.
Incorporating HD video recording capabilities and Sony Ericsson’s “human curvature” design philosophy, the devices allow users to capture spontaneous moments in high-quality video and upload them for easy sharing with their friends.
SPB Mobile Shell for Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro is a unique and customizable user interface, which includes 3D carousel. It features touch-friendly menus and icons; multiple desktop screens, widgets’ management, and simple and fast access to all functions without affecting built-in features or third-party software.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro will be preloaded with SPB Mobile Shell in selected markets in the Asia-Pacific.
The Vivaz is available in four colors, moon silver, cosmic black, galaxy blue and Venus ruby, while the Vivaz pro comes in black and white.
