New Sony Ericsson Zylo Walkman phone offers unmatched sound quality with FLAC

MANILA, Philippines - The new Sony Ericsson Zylo Walkman phone continues the Walkman legacy of cutting-edge mobile music innovation with the introduction of the high-fidelity FLAC format.

Zylo is the first ever Walkman phone to offer consumers the superior sound experience of the FLAC format.

FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is an open source, royalty-free format that compresses music files while retaining high audio quality.

The file may be slightly larger than the MP3 format, but as “lossless” implies, FLAC delivers the sound without loss in sound quality. FLAC is particularly popular for preserving surround sound quality.

The superior music experience offered by Zylo is further enhanced by Clear Bass and Clear Stereo, resulting in a music listening experience that comes closest to the original audio recording.

Users can also create playlists based on their mood through SensMe, a feature that helps organize and play music files according to tempo and genre.

To raise the fun in playing music, the Zylo also has Shake control, a function that allows one to change music to the next tune by flicking the phone.

TrackID is a special application that lets one name a tune by recording a snippet of sound. The sound is checked over a global online music database and returns with the song title, artist’s name and album title.

With support for FLAC format, users will have more options for their music. Users can enjoy their music in FLAC, MP3 and AAC on the Walkman music player, and change into a new look for the player through Walkman styles.

Zylo also allows users to stream their music from one device to the phone via Bluetooth stereo.

With the music experience center stage in the Zylo, why not keep the music playing while taking a call? The phone’s Music Call feature allows one to do just that, as the music continues to play in the background during a call.

Zylo comes with quick access to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps. Get Web feeds, and pan and zoom webpages through the Netfront Web browser. While listening to the FM radio, check if you’re still attuned to your health through phone’s in-built step counter, Walkmate.

Enjoy the 3D games or download them from Sony Ericsson PlayNow. Zylo also has a 3.2-megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, photo fix, geo-tagging and send to Web function.

Send your video and images straight to your blogs or online photo album. It has a video calling function for its main camera as well. To silence an alarm or mute a call, use Gesture Control by passing your hands across the phone’s camera lens.

The Sony Ericsson Zylo Walkman retails for only P8,500. Visit a Sony Ericsson Experience Shop or authorized dealer to learn more about the mobile listening pleasure of the Sony Ericsson Zylo.

The phone is available in chacha silver, jazz black and swing pink.
