MANILA, Philippines – Sony Ericsson brings consumers the latest in communication and entertainment experiences, through its collection of smartphones and entertainment-packed handset models at the Sony Ericsson Expo 2010.
The three-day expo at the Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall Bldg. B until tomorrow brings consumers up close and personal to these latest additions to the Sony Ericsson portfolio.
Experience Stations for the expanding Sony Ericsson Xperia range featuring the X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro, the HD video phones Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro, and the all-new Sony Ericsson Spiro and Zylo Walkman phones have been set up at the expo. Visitors can fully explore these phones and learn more about their features.
Xperia smartphones add best-in-class entertainment on top of smartphone fundamentals such as applications, maps, e-mail and fast Internet connection to create the most entertaining smartphones.
The flagship Xperia X10 has an 8.1-megapixel camera and four-inch screen for multimedia creation and viewing.
Sony Ericsson exclusive applications such as Mediascape and Timescape help organize content and bring multimedia features alive.
The X10 mini and mini pro, currently the world’s smallest Android smartphones, have a 2.55-inch scratch resistant TFT touch screen supporting over 16 million colors.
Their five-megapixel camera for stills and video comes with auto focus, geo-tagging, photo and video light and the Sony Ericsson album application, a feature that organizes image files.
Their user experience platform was specifically designed for a smaller form factor with a one-hand touch experience. Users can quickly access their most used and favorite applications through a unique and customizable four-corner user interface.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz pro are sister products that share HD video capabilities.
The Vivaz pro reaches a new audience with the addition of a QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for swift e-mails, chats, and interacting on favorite social networking sites.
The Vivaz has an 8.1-megapixel camera, while the Vivaz pro offers a 5.1-megapixel camera.
Both phones feature the new design philosophy “human curvature,” which was first introduced with the Xperia X10. This will become a consistent feature of Sony Ericsson’s portfolio going forward. The design mirrors the shape of the human body, and at the same time delivers a precise and compelling phone interaction.
Sony Ericsson also unveils the new Spiro and Zylo Walkman phones at the expo. Both phones provide consumers with the best music experience they have come to expect from the Walkman line aside from social networking connections.
Spiro bears the iconic Sony Ericsson Walkman music player, Blue-tooth stereo, FM radio and 3.5 mm jack. Zylo gives superb sound with clear audio experience and plays in high definition FLAC format, the best sound quality ever on a mobile phone.
Both phones also have TrackID, which can identify a music track’s artist, song title and album title by accessing an online music database.
Sony Ericsson has also announced an array of upcoming handsets over the next few months. The new Xperia X8, which will build on the success of the X10 and the mini products, is expected to bring the Xperia line to an even broader audience.

The X8 also comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera and video recording functionality. Timescape will show all communications together for added simplicity.
The Xperia X8 will come in multiple colors: white, dark blue/white, aqua blue/white, pink/white, and silver/white.
The first full-touch Walkman phone, Sony Ericsson Yendo will also debut in the third quarter.
Yendo brings quick access to the Touch Walkman player and Touch TrackID. MediaGo lets users transfer music from a PC to the mobile phone. Facebook and Twitter access is a touch away.
The phone also comes in 10 fun colors: black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, white, and yellow.
