Sony Ericsson unveils floral pink W705 Walkman

MANILA, Philippines - Sony Ericsson has re-launched its popular W705 Walkman phone in floral pink. With a best-in-class audio experience and additional applications such as Facebook, consumers get a full multimedia experience.

First launched in early 2009, the W705 now comes in a new color, floral pink, to appeal to all stylish people everywhere.

Now with Facebook and the ability to download many other applications for free, consumers can use Wi-Fi to connect to broadband hot spots and go online for the best songs or most popular YouTube clips.

The updated W705 still comes with the PlayNow arena providing a full range of mobile entertainment, including wallpapers, ringtones, free content and DRM-free music tracks and TrackID charts from around the world.

With clear bass, stereo and premium headphones, the W705 continues to deliver a sound that has crystal-clear clarity and is remarkably dynamic, rich and natural.

Peter Ang, Sony Ericsson vice president for marketing in the Asia-Pacific region, said, “Bringing together rich content, unique applications and best-in-class entertainment experiences, the W705 has been refreshed with more applications and a new color, offering even more entertainment opportunities.”

The W705 is much more than a music phone. Its exclusive Pink Lily theme combines with a large screen in an elegant and compact slider for a stylish feel.

Use the 3.2-megapixel camera to snap photos of friends and upload them using Wi-Fi to Facebook or another social networking site for all to see.

The W705 Walkman presents one-click access to online music. The award-winning clear audio experience lets users listen to music as it was meant to be heard.

The phone is also Wi-Fi and DLNA certified — connect the way you want. PlayNow gives users a complete range of mobile entertainment.

With Shake control, switch tracks with the flick of a wrist. SensMe lets users create playlists based on mood rather than artists or genres.

A large 2.4-inch screen lets users view websites and e-mails with high clarity. Automatic rotation lets them switch from portrait to landscape with just a tilt of the phone.

Never get lost again with Google Maps for Mobile and Wayfinder. Snap and share favorite images via Bluetooth with the 3.2-megapixel camera, enjoy the Walkman player 3.0 and the FM radio with TrackID. Its 4GB memory card lets users store up to 3,900 songs.

DJ like a pro with the snap-on speaker stand MS410, which delivers quality stereo sound with an integrated FM radio antenna and even comes in matching floral pink.

The floral pink W705 Walkman will be available in the Asia-Pacific in the early fourth quarter.
