MANILA, Philippines – LG Electronics unveiled recently an affordable, slide-out full-QWERTY keyboard/touch-screen handset designed specially for messaging on the move.
Based on consumer research, LG designed its KS360 to appeal specifically to young, trendy users. It packed the tri-band KS360 with features that make it fast, easy and fun to chat with friends wherever you are.
Boasting a new eBuddy feature, the LG KS360 allows a free mobile-based instant messenger application that enables you to chat with your MSN, Yahoo, and Facebook contacts. With the KS360, conversational/threaded SMS, IM as well as e-mail and access to social networking sites are within your reach.
“In such a competitive market, especially among young consumers, such an approach is the only way to give consumers the right phone with the right look and features for them,” said Raymond Hernandez, corporate marketing head of LG Electronics Philippines.
“We know from what consumers have told us that they want a phone that offers more natural, real-time messaging, and that they want to be able to keep in touch with all their contacts from one device. The KS360 offers all this and much more — you’ll never be left in the dark about what is going on, now that staying in touch and chatting is so easy,” he added.
Users can quickly send or receive instant messages, texts and e-mail, thanks to the handset’s sliding QWERTY keyboard, or make calls using its smart touch-screen dialing.
And with the KS360’s two-megapixel camera, MicroSD memory card slot (up to 4GB), and easy access MMS, users can arrange to meet up and share chat messages or photos with their friends. The phone plays MP3/ AAC/ AAC+/eAAC+ audio files as well as MPEG4/H.263 video files.
The KS360 is also equipped with a Messenger-like SMS and a 2.4-inch 262,000-color QVGA LCD screen big enough to help users keep track of their text chats. And since users can see both sides of the conversation in real time, texting becomes simpler and smarter.
Internet access enables you to easily connect with social network sites such as Facebook and Friendster via the straightforward menu. The KS360 has Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Its slide-out QWERTY keyboard is ergonomically designed to make it easy to input messages quickly and accurately without tiring out your thumbs. At 16.8-mm thin, 101.5-mm tall and 51-mm wide, the KS360 easily fits into tight jeans pockets.
The phone’s Email Wizard feature makes managing e-mail easy. And if users want to tell their contacts how they feel in one click, there are several built-in emoticons to choose from.
Available in green, bubblegum blue, pink and red, the LG KS360 is sure to pack a mean punch with the younger crowd. It is now available in the local market for P8,900.
