Sony Ericsson W200i bags T3 Gold Award
Sony Ericsson’s “Walkman phone for all,” the W200i, emerged as one of the T3 Gold Award winners for 2007.
The phone was among the gadgets and gizmos reviewed and lauded by the magazine as the best of the year.
The UK-based T3, which has a monthly Philippine edition, awarded the year’s best gadgets from among hundreds of rated reviews.
The W200i was cited as an affordable Walkman phone, with uncompromising features. A dedicated Walkman player button takes users instantly to the music menu for enjoyment of hundreds of full-length tracks supported by its expandable memory slot.
The handset’s FM radio can also be used as an alarm clock, with the in-built speakerphone rather than the stereo headphones.
With the phone coming in Rhythm Black and Pulse White, its color-matched stereo headset HPM-64 is the first accessory to feature Bass Reflex, an innovation that preserves audio quality when the bass is turned up.
The W200i also has a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, an integrated photo album, a full HTML Web browser, push e-mail, PC synchronization, infrared connectivity, and video messaging.
As T3 magazine put it, “With the affordable W200i, you can enjoy some funk in your sockets without burning holes in your pockets.”
Previous T3 Gold Award-winning products included the Sony Ericsson K610i, the Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman phone, and the Sony Ericsson K800i Cyber-shot phone.
