Sony Ericsson is boosting its retail presence with a series of shop openings in Metro Manila and Cebu.
Its latest Sony Ericsson Concept Shop, located at the fourth floor of Building B of the SM Megamall Cyberzone, will become the first store to boast of a lounge concept.
Sony Ericsson is also opening shops in Ayala Center Cebu and Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
The Sony Ericsson Concept Shop in SM Megamall Cyberzone will be a stand-alone store furnished with demo pods for customers to experience Sony Ericsson’s best-selling product lines such as the Walkman and Cyber-shot phones and accessories in a relaxed environment.
Both the Sony Ericsson Concept Shops in Trinoma Mall and in Cebu, now located at the third level of the new wing of the Ayala Center Cebu, also sport a fresh new look.
Sony Ericsson Concept Shops offer mobile phones and accessories for sale as well as phone diagnostics and maintenance servicing.
Sony Ericsson opened its flagship store during its fifth anniversary last year on Kensington High street in London.
The store boasts of 7,300 feet of retail space, showcasing Sony Ericsson’s extensive product line-up of music, imaging, gaming and connectivity capabilities.
The company’s retail activities are in high gear for the introduction of several highly anticipated products.
Leading the pack is the Sony Ericsson P1i, the fifth generation of Sony Ericsson’s acclaimed P-series range of smartphones, that will begin shipping locally next month.
For its imaging line of phones, Sony Ericsson will bring in the five-megapixel Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot, a tri-band HSDPA phone with advanced digital camera features like BestPic, Photo fix and PictBridge.
In music, the new Sony Ericsson W580i and W910i Walkman phones both feature shake control, which uses motion sensor technology to navigate through the Walkman menu.
The Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman, with an 8GB memory that stores about 8,000 songs, will also be arriving.
In Metro Manila, other Sony Ericsson Concept Shops are located in Digital Exchange, Level 3, Glorietta; 2/F, Greenbelt 1, Makati City; Cyberzone, SM North Edsa; SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City; and Robinson’s Galleria, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center.
