Alcatel unveils new designer phones

TCL Communication Technology Holdings, the mobile phone arm of TCL Holding Co. Ltd., launched recently two new Alcatel designer phones, the OT-C701 and the OT-C825.

A clamshell music phone, the Alcatel OT-C701 boasts of a stylish and streamlined design that comes in three colors: classic black, powdery blue, and outstanding orange.

The OT-C701’s artful blend of design and practicality allows music lovers to enjoy music on the go. Dedicated keys are located on the phone cover so users can manage music tracks without having to flip open the phone.

Users can instantly add in their favorite song with a press of a button without having to browse through the menu. In addition, the Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) external screen’s blue backlight is easy on the eyes, which makes navigation simple and stress-free. The internal display, on the other hand, boasts a 65,000-color TFT screen.

In addition to a pleasant audio experience, the OT-C701 integrates a VGA camera, allowing users to capture photos and record videos. With a built-in video player and recorder, users get to enjoy various multimedia experiences, including a webcam feature.

The OT-C825, on the other hand, represents Alcatel’s new fashionable mid-level phone range. It boasts of a vintage-inspired design with a luxurious chrome and leather-like finish.

This trendy slider phone sits comfortably in the hand with its smoky brown tones and the luxurious feel of leather.

The OT-C825 lets you listen to your favorite tunes on its powerful music player (which plays virtually all audio files), and which can store up to 1GB worth of music on the microSD card (it has a 10MB onboard memory). It also lets users capture any moment with its versatile 1.3-megapixel camera and lets them view the images on a 262,000-color TFT screen. Its video player/recorder supports 3GP and MP4 formats.

Like the OT-C710, the tri-band OT-C825 lets users keep in touch with friends and family, even on the fly, with its webcam function. Connect the phone to a computer and update your contacts on your latest adventures while talking to them on your instant messenger.

Other Alcatel phones highlighted during the event included the smartly elegant OT-E101, OT-E201, OT-E220, OT-E265, OT-E221, OT-C550, and OT-C717.

Fun and sporty Alcatel handsets include the OT-E207, OT-E225, OT-E801, OT-C507 and OT-C701.

Finally, the Alcatel handsets designed for the trendsetter looking for fashionably chic designs should go for the OT-E227, OT-E230, OT-C630, OT-C635, OT-C707, OT-E805, OT-C825 and ELLE No 3.
