Smart launches 1st Click Internet café in Region 1

As part of its thrust to make high-speed broadband Internet access available throughout the country, Smart Communica-tions Inc. has set up a Smart Click Internet cafe in Mangatarem, Pangasinan.
A first of its kind in Region 1, Smart Click Internet cafes are either housed in a 40-foot container van or located in a commercial space equipped with 15 rentable top-of-the-line computers with up-to-date specifications and complete software licenses.
It serves as a one-stop digital shop in places with limited or no provisions for high-speed Internet and other related computer and desktop publishing services.
Smart Click is powered by Smart Bro, which provides wireless broadband connection with speed of up to 1MBps.
Mangatarem is a second-class municipality in Pangasinan, with a population of 60,943 people in 11,704 households, according to the 2000 census. The Mangatarem Click is located right across the Mangatarem Catholic Church on Caoile street.
Smart started the rollout of Click branches in April 2006 and to date, has set up 20 of them nationwide.
