The new Sony Ericsson W950i Walkman phone, with 4GB of memory storage capable of holding up to 4,000 songs, packs a music punch in style and substance.

This ultra-slim, ultra-stylish Walkman phone is now available at Sony Ericsson Concept Shops and authorized dealers nationwide.

The W950i’s Walkman music player features the functionality and sound quality of an equivalent stand-alone device. Music playtime is at 10 hours. 

A new graphic-rich interface on the Walkman player makes it easy to navigate around the music library by song, artist or playlist and now it’s possible to search visually by browsing through album covers using the stylus and touch screen.  This is one Walkman phone that offers even handwriting recognition, plus word completion and auto correction.

The W950i has all the benefits of a combined phone and music player, enabling multi-tasking between listening to music, SMS texting, MMS, video playback at 30 frames per second, e-mailing and browsing full HTML pages through the Opera 8 Internet browser. 

Users can enjoy a whole spectrum of mobile multimedia applications, including push e-mail and 3D gaming and store-and-share of media files and RSS feeds. 

Besides music, one can store photos, files and e-mail attachments on the phone. This 3G Walkman phone also has a speakerphone, FM radio with search function, calculator, timer, stopwatch, alarm clock, business card exchange and supports conference calls. You can also keep the music on through the flight mode feature.

The TrackID feature powered by Gracenote Mobile MusicID is also a new service which allows recording of a few seconds of a song, either via the sound recorder or the built-in FM radio, and with one click one can send that clip to the Gracenote worldwide music database which will identify the track and relay the information back to the phone.
