Sony Ericsson scored a big hit recently when it launched two of its latest phone models, the J220i and J230i, together with the Easy Fashion collection of Philippine Fashion Week 2006.
Dubbed as easy phones, the Sony Ericsson J220i and J230i boast of fun and easy-to-use features, which are important to their young and dynamic target market.
The mobile phone company would not have chosen a better occasion than Philippine Fashion Week for its fashion statement, "Easy and stylish," which translates into "user-friendly" in IT lingo, certifiably chic, smart and elegant by current fashion standards.
Sony Ericssons J220i and J230i may well be twin mobile phones, which made the choice of current showbiz teen heartthrob Richard Gutierrez and twin brother Raymond as the hosts of the Easy fashion event just perfect. The two onstage were easy on the eyes, lending the show a doze of showbiz glamour.
Yet both Richard and Raymond are distinctly apart, taking each their own showbiz way. Similarly, Sony Ericssons J220i and J230i have each their own distinct differences to serve the peculiar needs of mobile phone users.
Simplicity and ease of use are the keywords that describe the J220i. Mobile phone users have a choice between a single icon menu or the familiar Sony Ericsson multi-icon menu that gives an at-a-glance overview of all the key functions.
The one-click navigation key makes it easier to access some 500 phone numbers stored in the phone memory or any of 200 SMS messages.
The J220i is available in smooth elegant black or summer sky blue that can mix and match with any wardrobe ensemble.
On the other hand, music lovers will find the J230i irresistible with its built-in stereo FM radio that enables consumers to tune in, with the click of a button, to their favorite music station, or catch up on sports updates or newscasts.
The phone is also equipped with a stereo hands-free capability as well as speaker-phone to complete the package. With its sizeable phone memory and storage capacity, listening to the radio, answering a call, looking up a phone number, and starting an SMS message are all done in one click.
The J230i comes in cosmo white or deep blue and can also be personalized with Style-Up covers.
The crowd that gathered at the Glorietta Activity Center cheered and applauded the laidback and fuss-free fashion pieces that talented and promising fashion designers presented and of course, the twin delights presented by Sony Ericsson.
"It was an appreciative crowd gathered there," said Jessica Toehio, product marketing and customer service manager of Sony Ericsson. "And I can see that the twins will get us very busy these coming days."
Of course, she didnt mean Richard and Raymond Gutierrez who were then busy attending to their fans.
