Philips, Europes number one consumer electronics brand, has once again succeeded in making art forms out of mobile phones that encourage personal style and individuality.
First off is the Philips 760. Dubbed the "camera" that also happens to be a phone, it has a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, allowing for perfect digital photographs which can be viewed on its crystal-clear 65K TFT display screen.
A swiveling hinge that can turn up to 180 degrees is a cool bonus, allowing for even greater shooting options. For added fun and excitement, users can digitally manipulate their photos through the phones built-in enhanced photo toolbox system.
Scenery too dark? No problem. The Philips 760 also has a torch for illuminating scenes and subjects taken at night or in darkness. Whats more, its high-memory capacity lets users store up to 70 photos at a time, and view them through its unique slideshow feature.
The Philips 760 also comes with a Picture Talk function that lets users add voices to their pictures. Add all that to the Philips 760s talk time capability of up to four hours and 40 minutes and standby time of up to 560 hours.
The Philips 960, on the other hand, is for the highly mobile music enthusiast who wants to have his music wherever, whenever.
It is the first Philips mobile phone equipped with an integrated Real Music player, allowing one to listen to both MP3s and AAC (advanced audio coding) music files.
It can store up to eight hours of continuous music and extra capacity can be added by inserting an SD/MMC memory card into the phones card slot. Individual songs from other media sources like PCs can be easily downloaded via USB cable, Bluetooth or WAP connection.
More than just being a portable jukebox, the phone also functions as a powerful imaging device with its integrated two-megapixel digicam and its brilliant 262K TFT LCD screen. Talk time is over four hours with standby time of up to 300 hours.
