"The X800 has been designed with the active, high-powered young businessmen in mind. Its changeable express covers give it a fashionable edge and make it an attractive accessory," says Hiroshi Otani, Panasonic Philippines’ director for system sales.

Meanwhile, the phone’s Symbian operating system powers the X800 with specialized media features that will certainly boost the user’s capability.

The A210, on the other hand, will delight the young market because it is the only phone with a kirari messaging feature, which makes messaging "more fun and interesting," Otani says.

At just 17.2-milli-meter thin and 99 grams, the X800 certainly fits the slim-and-trim bill to a T. Its smooth, sleek design easily fits the pocket, making it the most ideal handset for people who value convenience and handiness.

The model pushes expediency to the limit with just a touch of a button. With this unique function, the working urbanite need not miss that important call or fumble awk-wardly when answe-ring incoming calls.

At P24,990 per unit, substance is definitely in direct proportion to the X800’s style with its Symbian OS which packs the Quickoffice feature, a document viewer based on the Series 60 platform giving users the elbow-room to view and edit Microsoft Office files, such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint documents.

Since an extensive memory is essential in carrying out high-powered functions, the X800 is up to the job with its miniSD card, which is remarkably just about the size of a postage stamp.

This feature makes text messaging more engaging with the use of light effects to convey the emotion of the message. When a mes-sage is received, the indicator flashes colors and patterns that corres-pond to the emoticons in the message, enabling the receiver to capture the mood of the message even before opening it.

The image-conscious teen will find endless delight in the A210 because the handset model comes complete with 40 easy-to-input pictographic characters guaranteed to make text messaging more crea-tive and exciting. Users can choose from 10 pre-installed 16 polyphonic ringtones that suit every mood and reference, and a selection of melodies that make incoming call signals pleasant.

At 16.5-mm. thin and just a mere 71 grams, the A210 is a sleek and slender mobile phone alright, but it is equipped with a powerful 65k CSTN color LCD with a 128 x 128 pixel colored screen that makes for clear and crisp images.

As a versatile communication tool, the A210 supports the WAP 2.0 Browser, and EMS and SMS functions. It comes in cool color combinations of white/red, white/champagne, white/gold and white/silver.
