April 5, 2004 | 12:00am
The newly opened Globe Telecom Business Center (GTBC) in Eastwood City, Libis adds another important contact point for Globe Telecoms growing subscriber base.
At GTBC-Eastwood, fixtures sport a modern finish particularly evident in the phone display cases and tables that serve as discussion nooks. Lifestyle panels with splashes of bright hues lend a vibrant and active feel. Colored neon lighting with wash effect not only brightens the place but also adds youthful character and personality.
Customers can view the latest phone models laid out on handset displays, highlighting key features and best value deals.
Lizanne Uychaco, Globe Telecoms wireless business group head for sales and distribution, led the opening of the new GTBC, joined by fellow Globe Telecom executives, including channel head for business centers Noel Cortez, and head of center set-up Didi Javier.
Kevin Tan, director for commercial operations of ERA-Eastwood, helped cut the ceremonial ribbon. Also present were GTBC-Eastwood center head Mike Aniban and regional marketing representative of North-GMA Sheila Rebullida.
"Globe Telecom has always wanted its products and services to be more accessible to the people," Cortez said. "The business center achieves this, and more. The fact that it is located in Eastwood City signifies Globes role in the technological progress of the country."
The GTBC opening was also celebrated with a live concert at Eastwoods Fuente Circle where the crowd was treated to back-to-back acoustic renditions by the U-Turn Band and Vivid Ban featuring Hanna. Contests with special prizes and giveaways spiced up the event.
There were also sales kiosks showcasing the latest Globe Telecom services. Finally, a spectacular fireworks display capped the momentous evening, symbolizing the start of greater things to come for the Globe Telecom Eastwood Business Center.
