BlackBerry will provide integrated access to e-mail, data and phone applications via a tri-band, colored wireless handheld to corporate customers of Globe Telecom.
GlobeSolutions corporate clients will soon benefit from BlackBerrys integrated access to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino environments, which will enhance GlobeSolutions existing portfolio of mobile productivity solutions, and expand the breadth of high quality wireless services to a wider market.
"We are very pleased to be working together with Globe Telecom to bring the innovative BlackBerry solution to its customers," said Mark Guibert, vice president for corporate marketing of Research In Motion.
"BlackBerry has developed a very strong following in North America and Europe and we believe Globes customers will value the productivity benefits enabled by wireless access to e-mail and corporate data," he added.
For corporate customers, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software tightly integrates with Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino and works with existing enterprise systems to enable secure, push-based, wireless access to e-mail and other corporate data.
"BlackBerry is a great addition to GlobeSolutions suite of enterprise mobility solutions," said Dan David, Globe Telecoms corporate business head.
"With its platform for delivering wireless information to the mobile professional, our corporate subscribers will find that BlackBerry complements GlobeSolutions business-building mobile services that have made us the partner of choice in the Philippine corporate market," he said.
