GenSan woman wins text promo

Arlene Nuñez of General Santos City and winner in the CDO-Foodsphere Inc.s "Karne Nortext Cash Papremyo" raffle promo that ended Jan. 31, almost lost her fortune when she threw the tin can containing her entrys raffle promo numbers.
Fortunately, her insistent mother, Priscilla Peñaflor, ordered her to retrieve the tin can from the trash can outside her house and keep it just in case.
Peñaflor bought the 100-gram CDO Karne Norte at the Gaisano Mall near their house and immediately Nuñez made an entry with Buy and Text (BNT) which undertook the text raffle promo program for CDO-Foodsphere.
The CDO Karne Nortext Cash Papremyo promo is the first nationwide text raffle promo ever undertaken in the processed meat industry.
CDO president Jerome Ong said that although his company has been consistently advertising its numerous product lines, the text raffle promo to popularize the pre-cooked corned beef was a success.
"(It) afforded us to thank our patrons at once, which we could not do in mere advertising," he said, adding that the promo also heightened CDOs consumer awareness giving it instant recall.
Even Buy N Text project director Alleluia Martinez attested to the benefits of the text raffle promo to CDO and her company.
"Now people are calling us to inquire about our services while before we were the ones promoting our services," she said.
"Inquiries about our services are often cut short once we mention the Karne Nortext experience and people seem to understand everything," she added.
She said the raffle promo enabled CDO to also get an instant profiling and identification of its markets, which it could not have achieved from other raffle programs.
