Digit-All bares new IRD software

Digit-All World Co. Ltd. of Korea recently introduced an upgraded software for its integrated receiver decoder (IRD) that is used to receive satellite transmission for the direct-to-home TV entertainment of Dream Broadcasting System.

The new model boasts of highly improved software that makes channel-searching a lot more user-friendly.

With one touch of a button, program listing may be viewed by channel number listing, by program category, by favorites, or by alphabetical listing. This new software enables the user to program the channel listing according to his own preference.

The new Digit-All World receiver is also capable of showing a seven-day electronic program guide, an improvement of the existing system that provides only a guide of the current and next program showing per channel.

Other features such as program synopsis and age rating were maintained. The age rating is further used to allow the user to prevent children from viewing unwanted programs through the use of its "parental lock" feature.

Tracking TV transmissions from other satellites is also possible with the new Digit-All World IRD. However, this requires additional set-up.

For the family’s added enjoyment, the new model comes with a biorhythm and calendar utility features, and popular video games like Othello, Snake and Tetris, which can be played while watching your favorite TV show.

For servicing needs, owners of Digit-All IRDs in the country will be happy to learn that Island Dreams Inc., a national distributor of Philippine Multi-Media Systems Inc., and Dream Broadcasting System will operate the Philippine Digit-All World Service Center.

Island Dreams technicians were trained by Digit-All World Korea and the company carries a complete line of spare parts, including remote controls.

The service center is located at 154-156 F. Blumentritt st., San Juan, Metro Manila. For more details about the Digit-All World SNA-951, interested parties may call (02) 722-1922 or 722-1924, or e-mail island@info.com.ph.
