Samsung showcases the future of 3G

SINGAPORE Samsung Electronics showcased its technology leadership in innovative mobile phones and wireless and broadband systems during the recent CommunicAsia 2002.
As the worlds first company to complete the development of technology for all aspects of the 3G wireless service, Samsung is not only leading the 3G revolution, but also setting the standards for digital convergence from its competencies in semiconductor, telecommunications and consumer electronics, all within a single business enterprise.
I. S. Kim, president and CEO of Samsung Asia Pte Ltd., said, "Samsung Electronics has a vision for Asia and Southeast Asia to be the next hotbed for digital convergence. Samsungs innovative products could make peoples lives richer in color, more exciting and fun."
Samsung Electronics innovations were showcased with the introduction of its GPRS and folder phones with true multimedia capabilities. Trade visitors were invited to make free calls from the rows of SGH-T100 mobile phones at CommunicAsia 2002. Three General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) phones the SGH-S200, SGH-S100 and SGH-Q300 showcased Samsungs ability to offer true multimedia.
