Philips outlines mobile strategies

Philips is set to outline its key strategies in addressing the mobile phone business in the country as it unveils a new range of mobile phones, including a Bluetooth-enabled GPRS Class 10 handset.
An integral part of the wider Philips business strategy to focus on the emerging market of "wireless connectivity" the new Philips cellular phones are designed to meet the exacting needs of mobile phone consumers with a stronger focus on the burgeoning Asia-Pacific market, including the Philippines.
First on the list is the Fisio 820. Taking desirability to new heights, the phone is designed to meet the natural tendency of users to want to flaunt their most prized possessions.
Feature highlights include a large, full-color LCD display, Bluetooth connectivity and the fastest GPRS class available in the market today (Class 10), which is ideal for sending e-mail attachments such as color pictures and graphics and downloading files from the Internet. The phone also allows for personalized screensaver and wallpaper.
Next in line is the Fisio 620, a mobile phone with changeable front and back covers. With high-speed connectivity and personalization as the new buzzwords in todays wireless world, Fisio 620 incorporates GPRS mobile Internet access and customizable options such as a selection of exchangeable front and back covers, a choice of five built-in screen savers and downloadable melodies.
To complete the new range, Philips has the Fisio 120, which offers superb performance and features at competitive pricing.
Its key features include changeable front covers, T9 text messaging, Philips unique carousel-based user interface and ergonomic shape that makes it easy to hold.
