Nurturing Asias broadcasting industry

Asias broadcasting industry is now seeing significant upgrades, exciting project launches and a new receptivity to investment. These have propelled the industry to gain significant grounds relative to its American and European counterparts, and for BroadcastAsia to make a significant contribution in breaking new grounds.
Acknowledged as the regions most international and definitive event for the broadcasting and multimedia industry, BroadcastAsia2002 will take place on June 18-21 at Suntec Singapore.
As a sign of the events worldwide stature, BroadcastAsia2002 is endorsed by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and International Enterprise Singapore, and supported by various government and industry bodies and societies, including the Singapore Broadcasting Authority, International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers and the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development.
Recognizing the growth potential of the Asian broadcast market, Singapore Exhibition Services chief executive Stephen Tan saw the need for a comprehensive, stand-alone platform for an exchange of ideas and technology updates within the broadcast industry.
BroadcastAsia2002 will host, for the first time, the Audio Engineering Technology Seminar. Presented by the Audio Engineering Societys Singapore Section, the seminar will explore the latest trends in digital audio.
The by-invitation only CEO Roundtable will address an issue close to those in the industry Digital Survival for Broadcasters among other interesting industry topics. This years conference will focus on the future of technologies and their business impact on the broadcasting industry.
Insights into hot industry topics such as interactive TV, cyber piracy, digital TV, digital audio broadcasting and the connected home will be brought into the open, while traditional engineering topics on content creation, production and management will also be addressed.
