Collaterals need presentation boost

More real estate brochures and flyers are making it to waste baskets rather than the thinking buyer and investor’s pockets. Instead of being chewed on, more of these leaflets are thrown out with the average consumer’s junk mail.

While realtors often blame sales personnel, market rates and a weak economy, part of the problem can be traced back to printing information materials. Only the most desperate home searchers take a closer look at blurry design illustrations, overly colorful text and muddled location maps.

To better equip companies for these kinds of corporate communications development, Hewlett-Packard has introduced a new line of printers specifically for improved and more affordable pre-press proofing. Before finalizing a brochure’s design and running it for print, these three new graphic printers provide the accurate color reproductions and exceptional image quality needed.

The HP Designjet 10ps with its compact body is ideal for one to three users while the HP Designjet 20ps is a workgroup solution for multiple users. The printers use dye-based ink for greater color stability and saturation. The 6-ink modular cartridge system–composed of four high volume modules for cyan, magenta, yellow and black plus two lower volume inks for light cyan and light magenta–allows users to replace only the cartridges whose colors they have depleted.

Another money and time saver comes from the two model’s modular design. The new printhead with HP’s thermal Inkjet 3 technology comes separately in the system. While now longer lasting, the printhead can also be replaced independent of the other components.

The higher HP Designjet 50ps provides all that plus a powerful networking capability and advanced administration tools that help manage multiple printing jobs.
