Bell Telecom launches broadband Net services

After intensive market research and product planning into the needs of the Philippine market for high-speed Internet services, Bell Telecom finally launched its flagship "i-Direct" line-up of broadband communications solutions.
i-Direct is a last-mile connectivity package that uses wireless access and fiber optic technology to deliver broadband Internet to the customer.
Available in "Corporate," "Enterprise," "Professional" and "Personal" variants, i-Direct promises to be the high-speed package of bundled services that will exceed the expectations of its target market, which comprises high-end residences, enterprises and large corporations.
i-Direct Professional and i-Direct Personal offer true on-demand, 56-kbps dial-up connections, and have the added value of an additional phone/fax line capable of NDD and IDD.
i-Direct Personal also comes bundled with 99 hours free Internet access and one e-mail address. i-Direct Professional provides the customer unlimited Internet access and three e-mail addresses.
i-Direct Enterprise and i-Direct Corporate deliver true, always-on broadband connectivity. Both are also provided with 7 Mb of Web hosting and unlimited Internet access.
i-Direct Enterprise provides bandwidth of up to 512 kbps, which can easily be shared with up to 40 personal computers using the customers own hub. Two telephone/fax lines capable of NDD and IDD are also included.
i-Direct Corporate provides leased line bandwidth of up to 45 Mbps for the ultimate in corporate connectivity.
Joby de Belen, VP for Sales and Marketing, said during the recent launch of i-Direct at Caramba Bar & Grill at the Fort Global City in Taguig, "i-Direct was designed to address the needs of the Philippine market for high-speed Internet connectivity, and at prices that would lead it in lowering the costs of broadband for the client."
