MANILA, Philippines — Stephanie Sy may be the founder of tech startup Thinking Machines Data Science and one of the five Filipinos honored in the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2018 list, but the 29 year-old could easily be mistaken for a regular millennial who wears hoodies and headphones while working.

While in a cozy co-working space in Bonifacio Global City, Sy shared with Philstar.com her favorite work music, her favorite number being a data scientist, what her favorite destination in the Philippines is, and what her Thinking Machines team is like.

Sy founded Thinking Machine Data Science after she came back to the Philippines following a stint at Google in the US. The Forbes list honors 300 individuals in Asia who are driving change and innovation in categories such as enterprise technology, social entrepreneurs, entertainment & sports, etc.
