Acer TravelMate P645 notebook gets a Red Dot

MANILA, Philippines - Acer has announced that the Acer TravelMate P645 commercial notebook has once again been honored for its product design, this time capturing the 2014 Red Dot Award.

This recognition closely follows Acer’s four big wins at the 2014 iF Product Design Awards last month, which also included one for the Acer TravelMate P645.

In a rigorous evaluation process by a 40-member panel of international design experts, including distinguished fashion designer Jimmy Choo, only the best products were bestowed with the sought-after award for design excellence.

Winning two of the world’s two prominent design competitions demonstrates that the Acer TravelMate P645 has clearly impressed the international expert panels with its durable design and security features,” said Michael Birkin, Acer chief marketing officer.

This year a total of 1,816 manufacturers, designers and architects from 53 countries competed in 23 categories for the Red Dot product design awards. The Acer TravelMate P645 was awarded in the computers and information technology category.
