Acer Cebu service center moves to a new location
MANILA, Philippines - To better serve the metropolitan Cebu area and the entire Visayan market, Acer Philippines has opened its Cebu service center in a new location that offers several advantages benefiting its clients.
The new service center is now located in the Mabolo area from its original location in Lahug, which opened in 2011.
“The decision to move the service center to Mabolo is because it offers better accessibility and visibility. We hope to be able to serve our clients better through this new location,†said Ricky Boragay, customer service department manager of Acer Phils.
The 70-square-meter facility will be manned by administrative, technical and sales personnel, all highly trained and eager to attend to the needs of Acer’s clients in Cebu, long the center of trade in the Visayas region.
The Acer Cebu service center complements Acer’s service center in Davao, which has been in operation since July 2012, taking care of the various sales and after-sales service concerns of its clients in Mindanao.
“Now we have two service centers located in strategic areas in Cebu and Davao, both important markets for Acer. More than ever, we are ready and capable to attend to their various IT concerns without delay,†Boragay said.
For her part, Acer Philippines sales and marketing director Agnes Neria-Espino said the service center in Cebu is just part of the company’s efforts to expand its presence not just in Metro Manila but also in other provinces north and south of the National Capital Region.
She also echoed Boragay’s sentiments regarding the choice of Cebu as a growth area for the brand.
“Being a central business district, Cebu was chosen being the hub of business in the Visayas region. It is vital to Acer’s overall business as it functions as an important arm for us in the region for us to provide localized and quicker service to our clients there,†she said.
Neria-Espino continued by saying that as Acer continues to be the number 1 PC and projector brand in the Philippines, the company will seek to further grow its presence and boost sales, while looking at other areas to further strengthen the business, particularly for the Visayan market, where she said there is still room to grow further.
“The Philippines’ PC penetration rate is still low, with many areas that are largely untapped. We hope to be able to reach more Filipinos with market expansion efforts,†said Neria-Espino during the Acer Cebu service center opening.
