Convergys named BPO Company of the Year at International ICT Awards

MANILA, Philippines - Convergys Corp., a global leader in customer management and the Philippines’ largest private employer, has won the BPO Company of the Year award at the 2013 International ICT Awards in Manila.

The BPO Company of the Year award recognizes all aspects of business management excellence, such as financial and operational performance, depth and breadth of services, client and employee growth, company leadership, and social responsibility. 

Convergys won over six other finalists in the category.

This is the second time for Convergys to win the category since the awards began in 2007. It was also among this year’s finalists for BPO Employer of the Year.

The International ICT Awards is organized annually by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. 

The awards seek to honor the achievements and contributions of BPO companies, individuals and the overall industry to the Philippine and international business community.

Judging was conducted by a panel composed of industry and government leaders.

Convergys has been a consistent finalist in the International ICT Awards. It has bagged the BPO Employer of the Year award three times.

From a single contact center in Manila in 2003, Convergys has grown with over 32,000 employees working in 18 contact center facilities across the country.

Aside from the recognition at the International ICT Awards, Convergys is also among the companies elevated to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority’s (PEZA) Hall of Fame.  It has been named PEZA Exporter of the Year and Employer of the Year three times.
