MANILA, Philippines - Globe Broadband is once again recognized as the 2012 Broadband Service Provider of the Year by the global business research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
This is a back-to-back achievement for Globe Broadband after also receiving the recognition last year.

This award validates that we are on track in providing the best broadband service for our subscribers,” said Nikko Acosta, head of Globe Broadband.
Broadband revenues were up 13 percent year-on-year to P4.1 billion with the continued demand for Tattoo-On-The-Go offerings which comprise the bulk of the company’s quarterly acquisitions.
This led to the overall growth in Globe Broadband subscriber base to nearly 1.6 million by June 30, higher by 22 percent from almost 1.3 million subscribers in the same period last year.
From 2007 to 2011, the Globe Broadband service has grown by an average of 99 percent per year in subscriber base and 84 percent per year in service revenues.
For the first half of the year, Globe Broadband posted a 22 percent growth in subscriber base compared to the same period last year and 13 percent year-on-year revenue growth.

Last September, Globe Broadband also launched Tattoo Black, the premium broadband stick powered by Globe 4G (Long Term Evolution) and described as the future of broadband technology with the fastest speed and unparalleled customer service.
This was followed by the launch of Tattoo Torque, which provides the ultimate experience in at-home broadband connection.
