Entrepreneurs keep communication costs down with Globe Business plans

MANILA, Philippines – Business communication is now faster and more widespread in its reach, thanks to mobile phone services. But some companies, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) hesitate to provide company-issued mobile phones and accounts to their employees, as they worry about how to manage the potentially high cost of monthly mobile phone bills.

Globe Business offers Business Capped Plans to help keep a company’s monthly mobile phone bills within budget. Business Capped Plans set a cost ceiling for the use of the company’s mobile phone accounts every month.

According to Blue Avelino, head of corporate and SME segments of Globe Business, entrepreneurs receive several benefits when they subscribe to Business Capped Plans.

First, a Business Capped Plan provides a monthly load allowance that serves as a cap or limit on an employee’s spending of company mobile phone credits. For example, if a Business Capped Plan has a monthly allowance of P600 per month, the company only pays for that amount.

Second, Business Capped Plans have an Unli Business Loop feature that allows unlimited calls within the company. Third, Business Capped Plans provide mobile phones to subscribers.

“Globe Business is committed to helping our Filipino SMEs and corporations to operate their business in a simpler and more efficient manner at less cost. This is why we offer solutions like the Business Capped Plans. It gives entrepreneurs more control over mobile phone expenses while empowering employees at the same time,” Avelino said.

UNI-SHIP PARTNERS WITH GLOBE BUSINESS: One of the country’s leading shipping agents, Uni-Ship Inc. (USI), has chosen Globe Business as its partner and provider of its telecom needs, including postpaid lines and Internet service, using Globe Business Direct Internet; as well as its PBX with ISDN Pri landline. Uni-Ship began operations in 1986, two weeks after the EDSA Revolution, starting with tramping, break bulk, and ship agency. It is the exclusive agent of Sinotrans Ltd. and Sinotrans Logistics, the biggest shipping company in China. Last June, Sinotrans deployed additional vessels, Sinotrans Hong Kong and Isara Bhum (direct service: Manila-Hong Kong-Shanghai-Tokyo-Yokohama), to the Philippines through Uni-Ship, a member of the Uni Group of Companies. There are two Business Capped Plans available from Globe Business: Plan 300 with P300 worth of load allowance plus 35 bonus SMS per month; and Plan 600 with P500 worth of load allowance plus 85 bonus SMS per month and the Unli Business Loop service that enables unlimited calling among employees of client companies.

What if the load allowance is used up before the month ends? All an employee has to do in that case is to reload the SIM with regular Globe credits. The Business Capped Plans also allow the user to avail himself of Globe’s various prepaid promos, like Supersurf, to maximize the use of their load allowance.

One Business Capped Plan subscriber who is now enjoying its benefits is Darlyn Ty, owner of Viviamo Inc. and a Globe Business ambassador.

Viviamo Inc. designs and produces the best-selling Belle de Jour Power Planner. It also produces customized paper products for corporate clients, including planners, journals, and even magazines.

“The Belle de Jour Power Planner is designed for Filipinas who are fashionable achievers. It empowers them to achieve more and live life to the fullest. 365 days a year, they use our power planners to make their everyday life easier and inspire them to achieve their full potential,” Ty said.

Ty has 10 employees in her company but she also works with many freelancers, brand partners, suppliers and advertisers. This makes constant communication between all of them a necessity.

“In our business, coordination and timing are very important to keep our operations efficient and productive. I’m always on the lookout for mobile phone plans that could help us keep our expenses down while improving our communications.

“I found the perfect partner in Globe Business through their Business Capped Plans. We make full use of the unlimited calls feature within the company as well as the consumable monthly allowance. We even have free SMS to other networks.

“I don’t have to worry about communication costs anymore and in fact, I could even extend the plan to our messenger so he can coordinate directly with our staff. We no longer worry about him doing things the right way at the right time,” she said.

According to Ty, she now has more time and energy for growing her business now that she’s free from worrying about her mobile phone communications expenses.
