Phl's Team AZK to host Starcraft tournament

MANILA, Philippines - For the first time in Philippine online gaming history, Team AZK, a local Starcraft 2 league, will bring the prestigious IGN Pro League International qualifying tournament to the country.

This tournament will feature the latest expansion of Starcraft, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. Players from the Philippines and different parts of the world will engage for two days in non-stop battle with multi-player teams in the quest for ultimate victory, honor and bragging rights.

For a Pinoy gaming enthusiast, Starcraft is not a foreign concept. Since 1998, it has been invading the online gaming communities all over the world.

Starcraft is a multi-player military science fiction real-time strategy video game consisting of three species: the Terrans, the Protoss and the Zergs. The game is all about the battle for dominance, which is set in the distant future in Koprulu Sector, a remote area in the Milky Way galaxy.

Team AZK

January 2011 spawned the birth of Team AZK in the Philippines led by Gus “AZKwitchdoc” Ledesma and Marco “AZKghost” Victoriano.
