Projecting new life with Acer projectors

Manila, Philippines - It’s becoming a truly colorful world as Acer launches its newest set of projectors for specific markets.

With an ultra-short throw projection that allows the display of large images when placed very close to the screen, Acer presents the Acer U5200 Digital Light Processing (DLP) projector that targets the education market to bring teaching and learning to a whole new level.

Among its key features is the LAN control that includes monitoring, remote power on/off, remote projection management, and multiple-projector control, among others.

The remote desktop function of the Acer U5200 function, on the other hand, allows users to remotely access any PC connected to the projector via LAN and activated through the Acer eProjection utility. By connecting a keyboard and a mouse to the projector, users can now access a PC located in another room.

For more flexibility, the Acer U5200 also offers the USB Slide Show to enable the display of photos or slide shows directly from a USB so no need for a PC, and a low noise level for clearer audio during corporate presentations or simple entertainment.

An optional USB wireless adapter also allows users to connect and display presentations or videos without the need for cables, while the MobiShow function allows for the projection of any type of content, video or PowerPoint slides originating from Wi-Fi-enabled smartphones.

One remarkable feature of the Acer U5200 is the advanced mirror-reflection type of ultra-short throw projection. This allows images to remain sharp and accurate even at a close distance of 13 cm with a diagonal of up to 77 inches.

Despite the closeness to the screen, shadowing effect is eliminated, including the beam hitting the presenter’s eyes. This innovation is good even in small rooms but can still project large images, giving greater flexibility and maxxed viewing comfort, a good set-up for schools.

The other thing great about the Acer U5200 projector is the ability to project 3D images, perfect in making teaching aids transform and provide a breathtaking 3D experience, made possible by the DLP 3D Ready technology. All the users need is a flat surface of the room wall and they got a 3D screen.

The Acer U5200 projector comes with a 4:3 native aspect ratio, 4200:1 contrast ratio, 2,500 ANSI Lumens for exquisite brightness and bursting with 1.07 billion colors, plus 1024 x 768 native XGA or 1920 x 1080 maximum UXGA resolution.

It also features the Acer EcoProjection, which reduces standby power consumption by up to 80 percent, making it totally environment-friendly.

But for even smaller room specifications, Acer still has an option through the Acer C110 DLP projector.

With an 854 x 480 native WVGA and 1280 x 800 maximum WXGA resolution, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, 50 ANSI Lumens brightness and 16.7 million displayable colors, the Acer C110 projector is perfect for small presentations or even when watching one’s favorite movies or viewing family photos at home.

With a projection screen size ranging from 12 to 100 inches, the Acer C110 has a throw ratio of 47 inches at a two-meter distance. And since it weighs a light 166 grams, or practically the weight of a paperback novel or a smartphone, the Acer C110 is great to bring just about anywhere — in the office or in a friend’s house.
