MANILA, Philippines - Technology solutions company Smartmatic recently received the 2011 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Enhancement.
The award came after Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis of Smartmatic’s identity management systems market using its platform, PARmobile.
The PARmobile is a highly sophisticated portable device that manages identity security by accurately gathering biometric and biographic data of individuals.
This kind of solution, Smartmatic CEO Antonio Mugica said, helps improve efficiency and transparency, especially in all programs related to identity management.
Ideal for use by governments and large corporations, this modular device is designed for optimal use in field applications.
According to Frost & Sullivan’s research analyst Neelima Sagar, Smartmatic’s identity management systems using the PARmobile show the company’s expertise and ability to develop scalable solutions that provide enhanced security and flexibility for its clients.
The platform was successfully used in several markets like Bolivia and Mexico for their own national registry security.
Smartmatic provides technology solutions in four key business divisions: electronic and auditable voting systems; intelligent and integrated security systems; identity registration and authentication of large population groups; technology research and development; and consulting.
In the Philippines, Smartmatic is known for supplying the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) voting machines that became instrumental in the country’s first and fastest elections in May 2010.
