Leading appliance retailer taps JDA to fuel growth
MANILA, Philippines - Western Marketing Corp., a leading pillar in the Philippine appliance industry, recently announced that it has partnered with JDA Software, a leading retail software provider globally, for its industry-leading merchandising and store operation solutions.
After four decades in operations and with 14 branches, the Western Group still offers the widest array of white, brown and audio-video appliance lines of world-class brands like GE, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp, Sanyo, Carrier, Pioneer, JVC, Philips, Ariston, Fabriano, American Home, Canon and TCL, including innovative brands like Magic Sing and Apple iPod.
In support of its future growth plans, the appliance chain realized it needed an end-to-end, scalable merchandise management solution that offered integrated merchandise management, warehousing, and financials, while providing inventory management efficiencies to avoid overstock and out-of-stock situations.
Western Marketing also sought a retail-specific business intelligence solution that could provide in-depth reporting and analytics to enable customer-centric business decisions.
After an extensive evaluation process, the retailer selected JDA over other software vendors because of JDA’s proven, industry-leading merchandising and store operation applications.
