Kyocera Mita opens its first showroom in RP
MANILA, Philippines - Document management in the workplace got a big boost this month as Kyocera Mita Corp. launched its first showroom in the Philippines.
Located at the third floor of Digital Exchange in Glorietta 3, Ayala Center in Makati City, the showroom highlights Kyocera Mita’s latest multi-function printers, including machines from its FS to TASKalfa series.
Efren Quidilla, managing director of Philcopy Corp., Kyocera Mita’s official Philippine distributor, said, “As our major principal, I’m very happy to see that from 1980 to today, Kyocera Mita’s support and plans for the Philippine market have consistently developed for the better year after year.”
Masayuki Higuchi, president of Kyocera Mita Japan, Asia Ltd., said, “We are offering this showroom to showcase our unique range of printers and copiers for customers to touch, feel and try.”
The brightly lit showroom area presents many of Kyocera Mita’s newest lineup of desktop home printers and office multi-function machines which can scan and print with a multitude of options.
The FS series is perfect for the individual or home office markets, as it offers many basic, yet powerful features that are perfect for many uses.
The FS-1100 and FS-1300D A4 monochrome desktop printers offer USB connectivity as standard, and deliver optional network connectivity and problem-free system administration.
Kyocera’s single platform technology means that the same driver can be used for every Kyocera PCL/PostScript print device on the network — from single-user desktop printers to high-end multi-functional systems.
Both output 28 pages per minute with 1,200 dpi resolution with a maximum paper capacity of 500 to 800 sheets (including options). The FS-1300D has a standard duplex unit for double-sided printing.
Both printers make use of a compact design that is both robust and reliable, and feature 32MB of RAM comes as standard.
The FS-C5100DN is Kyocera’s entry-level color printer for A4 documents. It can output up to 21 pages per minute in color and mono with 9,600dpi print quality and multi-bit enhancement technology. A duplex unit is included for double-sided printing. There is also a 150-sheet multi-purpose tray and 250-sheet universal cassette that accepts paper sizes as small as A6.
With USB and network connectivity as a standard, the F.A. Porsche-designed machine is famous for its ability to output at low printing costs.
An A4 monochrome multi-functional printer, the KM-2810, outputs 28 pages per minute in A4 with a high resolution of 1,200dpi. Its multi-function features include standard print, scan and fax. It also benefits from a standard duplex unit that enables double-sided printing. Two optional paper feeders can take in 800 sheets.
The high-end TASKalfa series aims to deliver enhanced office productivity with an avalanche of multi-functional features. Just a couple of examples from this line are the 420i and 250ci.
The TASKalfa 420i spews out up to 42 pages per minute A4 copies in monochrome. This series offers 2GB of RAM and has a 160 GB HDD memory and storage.
Standard network printing, color scanning and duplex printing are available. Network options include expandable dual fax port and Internet fax. It has two types of optional document processors and individual paper handling with finisher options. Enhanced security functions also ensure that documents remain accounted for.
Meanwhile, the TASKalfa 250ci can produce up to 25 pages per minute in monochrome and color. It utilizes the new Kyocera micro spherical toner and color technology that delivers superior image quality while using less toner.
The standard duplex unit for double-sided printing is here, making it useful in servicing the 1,100-sheet capacity from three different sources. A color touch panel complements the ease of use from this 2GB RAM and 80GB HDD model. There is also an optional single-pass double-sided scanning
Other models on display include the TASKalfa 520i, 190-220, 181-221, and 300i.
Higuchi said, “We strongly believe that the TASKalfa series will be the brand that can further help customers in handling their office tasks in the Philippine market.”
Higuchi said the strong partnership between Kyocera Mita and Philcopy is vital to their growth in the region.
“In order to be successful in the Filipino market, we believe that partnering with Philcopy is vital. Philcopy has been Kyocera Mita’s business partner for 30 years and we gladly continue with this partnership,” Higuchi added.
