First off to be introduced EB-450wi interactive projector, which allows teachers and business presenters to conveniently turn any standard whiteboard or any smooth, flat surface into an interactive learning and presentation area. It offers interactivity through a digital infrared pen that allows users to write with “virtual” ink on the projected area, manipulate interactive onscreen objects and features, or use it as a computer mouse.
Next is the practical EB-85H/825H/826WH (EB-8 series) multimedia projector, which carries a wide array of business-friendly features such as cable-free projections (from wirelessly networked computers using optional wireless adapters), network control, projection of JPG image files stored in flash drives or PCs using their USB ports and lower power consumption costs.
Last but not the least is the ultra-bright and powerful EB-Z8050W projector, a business and education-oriented projector to be equipped with a cinema filter and Epson’s leading home theater projection technologies that significantly improve color reproduction and image quality.
Epson underscored the sheer power and performance of these new machines, which makes use of the dynamic 3LCD technology, through three separate vignettes, which highlighted each projector’s edge over other brands in the industry.
“The projectors and technologies showcased at the Epson MIP Ultra launch event are our very best; and their performance, value, and innovation lead the projector market,” declared EPC Country Manager Hideto Nakamura. “More importantly, they also demonstrate our commitment to give customers the best performing projectors through constant innovation.”
Meanwhile, Epson also shared its market share gain for 2009, which is 20.8% in the global projector market and 18.4% in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan). The figures were provided by FutureSource, an electronics research company, which also reported Epson’s achievement of clinching the top spot rank for 9th straight year, despite the global recession experienced from 2008-2009.
“Here in the Philippines, we are proud to have achieved 17.7% share of the projector market, which makes Epson projectors also No. 1 in the country,” said Epson Philippines Senior General Manager & Head of Sales and Marketing Division Eduardo Bonoan.
