Gird for monsoon season with new Akari products

MANILA, Philippines - Dedicated to supplying the best deals to preserve and maximize energy, Akari, a leading lighting, electrical and energy products provider, faces the monsoon season with its new energy-efficient products that are practical, high performing, and has longer usage.

As a solution to the real and functional needs of Filipinos during calamities, Akari introduces two energy-saving and high-performing products — rechargeable batteries and lanterns. These emergency-reliable items provide longer usage and require less energy consumption.

“As the pioneer company in the lighting and electrical industry, Akari is committed in giving the best to our customers, community and the environment. Thus, we present our new rechargeable products not only to address the practical demands in the use of energy-efficient batteries and lighting, but also to accept the challenge of preparing for the upcoming rainy season,” said Carter Tiu, vice president for sales of Carlson Corp.

Longer lasting batteries

To solve the rising demand to develop technology that will source clean energy and guaranteed superior performance, Akari came up with a supply of safe rechargeable batteries that can withstand long unwanted power outage.

The Akari rechargeable batteries take pride in their three winning points: performance, savings, and environment friendliness. They can last more than four times longer than alkaline batteries in electronic devices that have high power consumption.

This gives users huge cost-savings in the long run because they can be recharged and reused for up to 1,000 cycles. And once their battery life expires, they can be recycled in an environmentally friendly way. Hence, they do not contribute to pollution nor intensify the risks of catastrophes.

Now, Akari introduces the USB rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries, new addition to its rechargeable battery line, which can be recharged anywhere, anytime with any accessible powered USB socket such as computers, laptops or any USB hub.

Simply open the cap of the USB battery and plug it into a USB port to recharge. Once connected, a user sees red light to indicate that the battery is charging. The light will turn blue after five to seven hours of charging time to show that it is full. The USB battery can also be used with ordinary Ni-MH charges.

Akari’s rechargeable battery line also includes NiCD (Nickel Cadmium), NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride), and Ready to Use.

Multi-functional lights

Another cost- and energy-saving product line that Akari unveils is the rechargeable lantern that is high performing, multi-functional, and convenient during a calamity.

The collection includes the LED rechargeable emergency lights, rechargeable LED lamp with fan and radio, 12-inch rechargeable AC/DC fan, and 14-inch rechargeable fan with LED light.

The AEL-969, high-powered LED rechargeable emergency light has a built-in AM/FM radio and mobile charger perfect for emergencies.

Appropriate for long nights during a power failure is the rechargeable LED lamp with fan and radio that has a LED lamp, search light and blinker, AM/FM radio, and 10-inch oscillating fan.

The AC/DC-operated, 14-inch rechargeable fan with LED light and radio is recommended for more extensive usage with its multi-color LED night light that can be used up to 100 hours; 14-inch oscillating fan with adjustable speed; and a built-in radio with 20 hours’ working time.

For more than 40 years, Akari has continuously developed technology to provide consumers with only world-class, high-quality lighting and energy products.

With the launch of its new energy-efficient and high-performing products, Akari hopes to help the country save the environment, and at the same time, cope with emergencies during the monsoon season.
