Abenson unveils Samsung's first line-up of 3D TVs
MANILA, Philippines - In a special sneak peek held at its Avant showroom/outlet in Greenbelt 4 exclusively for The STAR last week, Abenson, the leading appliance store in the country, introduced the first Samsung 3D TV line-up.
The first batch of Samsung 3D LED TVs has been brought into the country by Abenson, which promises to set new standards in home TV viewing.
Boasting of optimum, three-dimensional image quality fused with premium and dynamic sound, the new line of televisions from Samsung is set to take the country by storm. Taking off from the flat-screen TV introduced just some years ago, the high-definition 3D TV elevates the visual experience into an exciting and immersive display never been seen before.
Samsung’s cutting-edge 3D TV technology brings images out of the screen with incredible natural accuracy and dramatic detail. Movies, sports and games come to life with dynamic depth and rich realism, allowing viewers to experience crystal-clear pictures and authentic, vibrant colors as they were meant to be seen.
“As we witness the evolution of television, we know that Filipinos will also be very keen to support this new technology,” says Ranj Basi, AVP for marketing of the Abenson Group.
“Being the leader in providing the latest in appliance and electronics, Abenson is proud to pioneer this new electronic innovation that lets our customers indulge their digital lifestyles,” he added.
While 3D technology has existed for quite some time in cinemas, integrating this technology to the small screen is a novel concept brought to life with the introduction of the 3D TV.
With a comprehensive line-up of 3D TVs, Abenson brings Samsung’s 40” and 46” Series 7 3D LED TV and the BD-C6900 Blu-ray player. The 40” model retails for P169,900, while the 46” version goes for P199,900.
Abenson had the first 3D models available for viewing last April 21 at its Avant showroom/outlet in Greenbelt 4.
“Stocks will be available by mid-May. We are pre-selling now for those video enthusiasts who are eager to get a hold and be guaranteed of a 3D TV unit that they can take home,” said Basi.
Each purchase already comes with a Samsung 3D Blu-ray player (BD-C6900), two pairs of Samsung 3D glasses, and a Monsters vs. Aliens 3D Blu-ray disc.
Key features and specs include a Full-HD resolution of 1290 x 1080p, real-time 2D-to-3D video conversion (by adding a variable degree of depth with one push of a button), and Internet@TV, which brings your favorite contents to your living room.
The convenience of Samsung’s Wi-Fi adaptor allows users to simply plug onto their TV’s USB port and be connected with just one touch of the remote control. Users can share photos and navigate applications with the remote to find infinite content and continuous enjoyment.
And with Skype on the Samsung TV, users can make free Skype-to-Skype voice and video calls to friends and family, wherever they are in the world. Plus they can also call landlines and cellphones from Skype at comparatively much lower rates. Audio and visual calls require the use of a FreeTalk Skype camera, which is sold separately and is not included with the TV purchase, however.
The AllShare feature allows the TV to wirelessly connect with compatible mobile devices, including multiple PCs. This lets users share movies, photos and music all through the TV.
Samsung has even optimized the network configuration to let users easily enjoy content ranging from movies to photos to music without having to switch devices. Users can even be able to send and receive SMS and check to see who is calling.
All of the 3D models will feature a built-in Ethernet connection, wireless capabilities, and Internet@TV, which provides access to the world’s first HDTV-based application store Samsung Apps.
Samsung also announced that several new content providers will be delivering content and applications to the Samsung Apps store.
Last but not least, outstanding design and energy-saving features will ensure that the 3D products fit with the sophisticated taste and environmental awareness of the modern consumer.
