Bose showrooms get a sound facelift

- Kap Maceda Aguila -

MANILA, Philippines - In the audio industry, Bose has been traditionally known for two rather disparate speaker lines: those mean looking floor-standing direct/reflecting speakers that are burly, powerful, and ooze with snob appeal as they stand in your living room; and its teensy cube siblings in the Acoustimass line, the epitome of space economy.

What is common to both products is the high sound quality that Bose lovers have come to know over the years as the company strives to live up to the trademark slogan “better sound through research.”

Now, the onus has been put on making the stores look at par with a global standard, as well. The Philippine chain of stores has begun a systematic program to renovate and change appearances so that each outlet adheres to a singular Bose concept and look.

The opening of the new Bose Concept Store on the third floor of swanky Greenbelt 5 in Makati City provides a peek into how the other stores in the country will eventually be designed.

Aside from being more organized and brighter, Bose showrooms have been made a simple, fuss-free affair for both customers and proprietors. Visitors to the Bose Concept Store will surely appreciate the layout as products have been effectively grouped and legibly labeled. The color scheme and lighting is welcoming and pleasant.

This sort of European-inspired feel is what you will get at every Bose shop you drop by all over the world. Interested audiophiles can try out every product in the shop — the complete range from earphones to SoundDocks (for your iPod) to home theater systems. Of course, helpful staffers are never far — each is ready to patiently answer and accommodate queries.

The centerpiece of the Greenbelt 5 Bose Concept Store is the Bose Music Theater that lets people experience the Bose promise of lifelike sound for lifelike video. Entitled “True to Life,” the proprietary demo show will redefine your notions of what is good sound versus what is hell-yeah-that’s-great sound.

“This unique show takes you on an exciting journey with lifelike music and breathtaking imagery. It’s a chance to relax and discover how what you hear affects what you feel,” says Wilson So of Eleksis Marketing Corp.

Sounds like an invitation too tempting to pass up.

Aside from the new Greenbelt 5 store, Bose’s other outlets are at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Glorietta 3, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM City North EDSA The Block, and Festival Supermall. Bose Greenbelt 5 is owned and operated by Eleksis Marketing Corp. For more information, visit www.eleksis.com.
