Convergys' Zamora elected to American Chamber board
MANILA, Philippines - Marife Zamora, Convergys vice president and country manager, has been elected to the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
Zamora joins an elite group of prominent executives from companies throughout the Philippines.
The American Chamber’s goal is to “serve the interests of US businesses through the participation of members in promoting their long-term objectives, while contributing to the civic and economic development of the Philippines.”
“Marife has an exceptional history of successful leadership in the Philippines. Her wide breadth of knowledge on running a US-based business effectively in the Philippines and expertise in the business process outsourcing industry will provide valuable insights to our board as we work to further our mission in East Asia and the Pacific,” said Robert Sears, executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
As Convergys VP and country manager, Zamora is responsible for overseeing the operations of Convergys’ 11 contact centers and 16,000 employees in the Philippines and for growing the company’s business in the country.
Zamora also served as president of the Philippine Software Association and is a director of the Contact Center Association of the Philippines.
