Misa named Cisco's RP country manager

Cisco has announced the appointment of Stephen Thomas “Tep” Misa as the country manager for its Philippine operations.

In this role, Misa will manage all of Cisco’s business operations in the country, reporting to Christian Hentschel, Cisco’s managing director for emerging countries in Asia.

Misa brings 16 years of sales, business and leadership experience to Cisco, as well as an in-depth understanding of the technology solutions required by various industries in the Philippines.

He will be looking to imbue Cisco’s operations in the country with his brand of leadership, energy and enthusiasm.

“Tep has an excellent track record and reputation in the information technology industry in the Philippines and we are pleased to have him on board. As with everywhere else in the world, the network is rapidly becoming the platform for all communications and IT and we are looking to Tep to help bring Cisco’s vision of the network to individuals and organizations in the Philippines,” said Hentschel.

Prior to Cisco, Misa was a director at Microsoft where he led various businesses, including the small, mid-market, enterprise, OEM, consumer, retail, and channels businesses in the Philippines.

He also worked for multi-nationals such as Unisys and Oracle, and garnered numerous sales, management and leadership awards, inclu-ding the prestigious Bill Gates’ Chairman’s Award.

Reflecting his drive for personal and team excellence, Misa is also an avid cyclist and triathlete who has won individual and team awards in various competitions.

He also won the much-coveted gold medal for most outstanding thesis when he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University.
