IP e-Games signs up with Perfect World
IP e-Game Ventures Inc. (IP e-Games), the online gaming subsidiary of IPVG Corp., has announced its partnership with Perfect World Co. Ltd., a leading online game developer and operator in China, for the rights to promote and operate “ZX Online: Journey to Immortality” in the Philippines.
Based on the popular Internet fantasy novel Zhu Xian written by Xiao Ding, ZX Online: Journey to Immortality is the first Chinese MMORPG (massively multiple online role-playing game) to be added to the e-Games titles.
It features mystical Chinese landscapes and sceneries for game players to explore during their soul-searching journey and training.
Michael Chi, chairman and chief executive officer of Perfect World, said, “We are very happy to add the Philippines to the list of countries to which ‘Zhu Xian’ has been licensed by entering the licensing agreement with IP e-Games (last) June 12.
“Successful overseas licensing is an indicator of our rapid growth in international expansion, and we believe our continued success in exporting our portfolio of games to markets outside of China demonstrates quality and adaptability of our games. I believe we will see impressive results from ‘Zhu Xian’ through our joint efforts with IP e-Games Ventures Inc.,” Chi added.

In this 3D MMORPG, players will experience furious clan battles as well as combat while journeying through different landscapes, including the mysterious underground world. The game offers a philosophical touch during the exploration, bringing about a totally different fantasy online game experience.
ZX Online: Journey to Immortality is the first English translation of the game. The new version will also give international gamers a chance to play this much-awaited fantasy role-playing game.
The multi-awarded MMORPG has been recognized as one of the “Most Popular Online Games” by the Chinese gaming industry and “Baidu Top 10 Outstanding Online Games.” In addition, it successively won the 2007 and 2008 Jin Ling award as one of the top 10 favorite online games among Chinese game players.
Game features
Last May 28, Perfect World launched “Samsara in the Six Realms” expansion pack and propelled a new round of enthusiasm for the game.
The new expansion pack introduced new features to the game, including a brand new “Ghost” school and the “Pet System.” These latest features are included in the English version that is licensed to the Philippines.
ZX Online: Journey to Immortality boasts of the following game features:
• Full 3D pathing system. Players can simply click on a location in their map and the system will automatically navigate the character to that location, avoiding obstacles along the way.
• Evolving pet system. ZX Online: Journey to Immortality’s pet system is unique because they evolve: Pets grow, learn new skills, and eventually, “go to heaven” and leave a special jade talisman to bring luck to their owners.
• Flying system. In traditional Chinese martial art myths, flying a sword is the ultimate sign of a powerful warrior. ZX Online: Journey to Immortality brings this fantasy alive in the game.
• Talisman system. Talismans are a known to be a source of a Chinese warrior’s source of extra power. In the game, players are able to create their own talismans, as well as combine two or more to create a much more powerful one.
• Mount system. Mounts are animals that allow gamers to travel faster. In ZX Online: Journey to Immortality, there are various mounts available, including the Chinese divine beasts such as the unicorn, phoenix, and dragon. Two players can ride one mount, provided that they are a couple.
• Cooperative quests and missions. Quests and missions are more engaging and require cooperation among gamers. There are quests and missions designed for couples, groups, families, and guilds.
