New Fuji Xerox multi-function printers go greener, enterprise content-friendly
Enterprise content management with eco-friendliness? Filipinos can now go even greener and work from anywhere even better.
Fuji Xerox’s industry-first and award-winning ApeosPort-III C3300/C2200/C2201 color multi-function printers (MFPs) have landed here and are making both environmentalists and executives happy.
The most eco-friendly multi-function printers to date, the ApeosPort-III C3300/C2200/C2201 series provides a powerful platform that allows companies to build integrated enterprise-wide systems on top of the usual color printing, copying, scanning and faxing.
The ApeosPort-III series adds powerful cloud computing capabilities such as “follow me” printing, scanning and printing directly from enterprise content management systems, thus minimizing the dependence on PCs throughout the network.
This third-generation MFP series has been recognized for its environmentally conscious features, winning the prestigious Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Prize in the Eco Products Category at the 4th Eco-Products Awards in Japan last year.
To help preserve the environment, the ApeosPort-III C3300/C2200/C2201 multi-function printers use lead-free shafts for their output unit, including the paper feeder.
They also utilize a newly developed plastic that comprises more than 30 percent of plant-derived constituent (by weight) for the manufacture of moving parts in the machine, effectively reducing carbon dioxide emissions during production.
Complementing these are an energy-saving controller, high-efficiency lamp and temperature-controlling technology that reduces power consumption in sleep mode to just 2.2W, significantly lower than that used by conventional MFPs.
Beyond eco-friendliness, the ApeosPort-III C3300/C2200/C2201 series delivers the highest image-quality of any LED-based office printer at 1,200 x 2,400 dpi.
This is made possible by a newly developed LED print head to write images on the photoreceptor drum instead of a traditional laser using motor rotating the polygon mirror, resulting in a more compact system with reduced noise.
Older LED systems had to sacrifice image quality in favor of environmental factors, but the latest advances in the ApeosPort-III series now provide users with the benefits of both.
The ApeosPort III series brings advantages to enterprise users who need document management away from their workstations. With the ability to interact with other devices and PCs within the network, the user-programmable, full-color, large-touch-screen graphical user interface makes it easy for knowledge workers to share documents with theirs and other PCs in the network.
They can now scan their documents directly into an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) such as Docu- Share, print documents from the ECMS directly from any ApeosPort III MFP connected to the network, print directly from a USB-connected memory device, and many more features that deliver cloud computing techniques from the MFP without having to be at the PC.
