Convergys marks 5th year in RP

Convergys Corp., a global leader in relationship management, joins its more than 14,000 local employees in celebrating five years of growth and success in the Philippines.

Convergys has experienced continuous and significant growth in the country in the last five years.

It started with one contact center in Manila in 2003 and is now operating out of nine integrated contact centers across the country. In fact, it recently announced the addition of five more facilities to start operations in 2008 and 2009.

“The tremendous growth that we’ve seen in the Philippines is a testament to our employees and the superior service experience they provide to customers around the world,” said Marife Zamora, Convergys vice president and country manager.

“Our continuing success here is based on demand from our clients, and our clients continue to tell us that the service experience provided by the dedicated and talented employees in the Philippines is excellent,” she said.

Convergys will hold a month-long celebration of this fifth anniversary. Activities will include community outreach projects across each of Convergys’ nine contact centers, family day celebrations across the country, appreciation activities for employees, a bell-ringing ceremony to mark the exact anniversary of the first production call, and a dinner for employees celebrating their fifth year with the company.

“The wide range of upcoming events can only begin to express our gratitude to the thousands of our dedicated employees who help define our leadership in relationship management around the world,” Zamora said. “I look forward to celebrating our accomplishments throughout the month.”

Convergys’ contact centers provide both general support and advanced technical help desk services to a variety of Convergys clients via traditional voice calling, e-mail, and Web chat as well as “back-office” application and document processing.

All Convergys facilities are closely integrated into Convergys’ Global Assurance Network, giving the company control of its end-to-end operations and processes and giving assurance of 100 percent redundancy and flexibility for its clients.
