Bang & Olufsen opens first RP flagship store

Premiere audiophile brand Bang & Olufsen makes its upscale products available locally with the recent opening of its first flagship store at Greenbelt 5 in Ayala Center, Makati City.

Known for its world-renowned range of high-quality audio and video products, Bang & Olufsen will surely captivate the growing techie and gadget-savvy market.

Founded in 1925 in Struer, Denmark, Bang & Olufsen is world-renowned for its range of quality consumer electronic products that include televisions, music systems, loudspeakers, telephones, and medical and multimedia products.

“We believe there is a substantial pool of existing and potential clients here who have the taste and discernment to truly enjoy Bang & Olufsen products with their unique design and quality,” said Lars Myrup, managing director of Bang & Olufsen Asia.

“Over the years, many audio and visual enthusiasts here have acquainted themselves with our products and brand from their travels overseas. Many of them have also purchased our products outside the Philippines. We are delighted that they will finally get to experience Bang & Olufsen products right here on their home ground and we feel there is a strong basis for solid growth in this part of the world,” Myrup added.

In the Philippines, Bang & Olufsen products are exclusively distributed through the company’s appointed master dealer, Stores Specialists Inc., which takes on full retail operations for the store.

“Our partnership with Stores Specialists Inc. reinforces our commitment to grow the Bang & Olufsen brand in the Philippines and the rest of Asia,” said Myrup. 

“Together with Stores Specialists Inc., we look forward to bringing Bang & Olufsen’s innovative design, quality and technology to our existing and presumptive customers in the Philippines,” he added.

Bang & Olufsen has a strong representation across Asia, coordinated from its regional head office in Singapore.

Its network covers over 40 stores in 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore.

With more than 2,400 employees and with products sold in more than 60 countries worldwide, Bang & Olufsen’s turnover for the 2005/2006 financial year was 566 million euros.
