Acer E560 desktop: Power-packed
April 2, 2007 | 12:00am
If before people can only dream of their computers being able to perform at peak capacity despite running numerous applications on the side and yet consume power at minute levels, then that dream is now a reality, again thanks to Acer.
One of the world’s top computer manufacturers, Acer reiterates its innovativeness and pro-active approach in the computer industry with the Acer E560 desktop.
With Intel Pentium D processor 915 and an ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset at the heart of this aesthetically appealing gadget, maxed performance at relatively low power consumption levels is thus guaranteed for the E560.
At the same time, the E560 comes with a 512MB DDR2 533MHz RAM memory for more computing space available, and 160GB SATA II 7200rpm hard drive for storing all those important files, photos, videos, school projects, and a whole lot more.
For optical media needs, the E560 has a SuperMulti DVD Dual Layer Drive which, for the uninitiated, gives users the opportunity to play "double-layer" disc formats, disc type that has not one but two recordable dye layers that can store double the amount of standard DVD discs, from the usual 4.7GB to around 8.5GB.
Couple this with an embedded high-definition audio capability with 7.1-channel support, expect the living room or the office to rock during lull hours whenever a DVD movie is played.
With its crisp video and audio qualities while watching via its 17-inch LCD monitor, expect the E560 to change entertainment in the 21st century.
There are other aspects to the E560 like the nine-in-one card reader that reads almost all removable media types known in the market today, a built-in 56k modem, external speakers, keyboard and mouse, and of course, the standard one-year warranty on parts and labor.
Acer takes customer and technical support levels up a notch with its unique Acer SuperCare Extended Warranty for up to three years on parts and labor. The E560 has a suggested retail price of P39,900.
