The new 10-megapixel and eight-megapixel cameras, which come in a variety of colors, including metallic pink, allow consumers to bring out their personal style with innovative features that help heighten their picture-taking experiences.
"As consumers look for more ways to expand their picture-taking experience, the Kodak EasyShare 10- and eight-megapixel digital cameras make it fun to personalize the camera look and feel," says Raymond Albert, Kodak Philippines country manager.
"Kodak continues to delight consumers by providing new ways to express themselves, enhancing the overall digital photography experience," he adds.
During the launch of the V1003 and V803, the Kodak people put their money where their mouths were by holding an actual photographic competition among the attending members of the press.
The contest involved using the various features of the new V803 while taking pictures in and around the Jumbo Floating Restaurant docked off the CCP grounds. Tellingly, the numerous features all proved surprisingly easy to use and impressively effective.
With the new V-series models, a new menu feature called "Maintain Settings" stores your preferred settings for flash, white balance, ISO and resolution between uses, saving you time and assuring that you have the camera set up to your own personal preferences. With the "Favorites" feature, you can keep your special pictures on your camera all the time for showing and sharing, without filling up your internal memory.
The V803 features a large 2.5-inch color LCD screen, 3x optical zoom/4x digital zoom, a 1/1.8" CCD, and a 36-108mm lens. It has a 32MB internal memory with an expandable SD/MMC memory card slot. Its drive modes include single-shot self-timer, two-shot self-timer, delay shutter, and burst. The V1003 has the same specifications as the V803 but adds an astounding 10-megapixel CCD.
Both cameras are packed with smart features that include a new high-ISO mode (up to ISO 1600) for bright pictures when shooting under low light conditions; Kodak’s Perfect Touch Technology that brings out shadow detail and delivers more vibrant colors of previously captured shots at a touch of a button; 22 scene modes (including an incredibly easy-to-use on-camera stitching for dynamic panorama shots); Digital Image Stabilization to prevent blurring from subject or hand movement; an advanced video mode to record VGA video (640 x 480) with sound at 30 frames per second (includes trimming and tagging for easy editing and searching); and convenient on-camera tools that include blurry picture alert, digital red-eye reduction and picture cropping.
These two new Kodak EasyShare V-series models pack a lot of value with the V1003 retailing for P18,995, while the V803 has a sticker price of P16,995.
